Endless rain leeches our brains,
We of lives where we can drown but not swim,
Orders of rules philosophers writ large,
Words mouthed by loyal lucred bloodkin
Never to share spoils no matter our toils,
Bodies spewing human mud of night soil
Those born by all means of no means at all
Therein consigned by Biblebabble
To lives of Hell and afterlives ditto,
Eternal fate levied, absent blame
Put there by failure to dance steps
Choreographed by others scoring
The music too, tallies of results kept
Like credit reports from fat-cat vendors
In camera, held away from the lights
Promised the sinless upon their births,
Lack of light God’s slight, holy oversight
And still we wonder why revolutions
Here in this Land of Can’t led by Authors
Of Don’t, published in forever’s Won’t?
